I have been dancing since the age of 3 and first found Pilates at a summer dance workshop when I was in college. I remember leaving the class feeling like I had a new awareness of my body and feeling more aligned than ever before. I was hooked and inspired to become a Pilates instructor. I have found Pilates to be life changing for me. I love sharing Pilates to help others discover their movement potential and freedom from physical limitations.

My education includes a BA in Philosophy with a minor in Dance and Political science from The College of Wooster; an MFA in Choreography and Performance from Mills College; various Pilates certifications dating back to 2005, Zumba® Fitness, bootybarre®, Weight Management, and Post Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise certifications. I am a college professor in dance, a dance instructor, a wedding and freelance choreographer, an assistant to a famous choreographer, and the founder of a (now virtual) studio offering one-on-one and group classes in Pilates.

I came to Pilates because I was seeking to work through some physical limitations that inhibited me from moving as freely as I wanted to.  Recognizing the power that lies in understanding movement mechanics and practicing mindful movement was a game changer for me. I was inspired to teach Pilates myself, and I continue to gain enormous satisfaction helping others move more freely in their own lives.

I received a BA in Theater from Stanford University; an MFA in Dance from Mills College; various Pilates certifications dating back to 1997; The Hendrickson Method of Orthopedic Massage; CranioSacral Therapy at the Upledger Institute; and foundational courses in Z-Health, a system of training that focuses on nervous system function. I am a certified Biofield Tuning Practitioner and the co-founder of a strength studio offering one-on-one, biomechanically nuanced strength training for every body.
